"Be careful what you say"...this was never a truer sentiment for me. I'll provide a few snippets of recent conversations with Lani and you may guess why I've come to think this.
Lani: "You're killing me, mom"
Lani to me while I was outside shoveling dog poop: "You come inside right now, mom. You listen to me."
Lani to me while I had my bare foot on the dash of the car (Chris was driving): "Mom, put your shoes on. Mom, you have no shoes on."
Honestly, if it weren't so cute, I'd feel worse about it.
She's also taken to calling everyone "Bubba" because I call her and the babies Bubba. She uses this term to address the babies AND me, Chris, her babysitters, and strangers in the supermarket. It's pretty darn cute. Speaking of cute, here are a couple of group shots from this week's tap/ballet class. She insisted on wearing her hello kitty dress rather than a tutu.
Katelyn babysat for us while Chris, Lani and I hit Seaworld for the first time in a long time. The weather was superb and we were able to take in a few shows and exhibits. Chris took some really great action shots of Believe, the shamu show.
This lone shot is from the dolphin show. Chris was shocked and distressed when the "mom" fell into the water. He was quite cute about it. I assured him it was all part of the show.
